How Does the MoonRay 3D Printer Work?

The MoonRay 3D Printer works by using a DLP projection system and LED-based light source which uses microscopic, individually controlled mirrors to protect ultraviolet light onto UV sensitive resin. The sensitive resin material used is held in a shallow tray, each layer is cured and solidified, and then the light is re-focused onto the next year to repeat the process.

The RayOne projector found in the MoonRay 3D Printer was designed and developed to provide quality 3D printed components and can be completely managed using the software provided with the printer. The light engine which the MoonRay 3D Printer uses was designed and custom-built to provide a blue-violet 405nm wavelength.

First generation 3D printers such as SLA or DLPS were often highly inconsistent, leading to corrupt and distorted results. The MoonRay 3D Printer was designed to provide highly consistent results that can be correctly fit and positioned.
